A bit husky and rugged in a mid-weight plus style, with flavors of boysenberry, blackberry and raisin with hints of smoke and spice. There is some astringency on the somewhat long finish. A big gulp of very ripe fruit with a creamy mouthfeel, lacking some nuance. Score: 91. Reviewed August 1, 2021
