14.3% alc., $55. Old vine Pommard and some clone 777. Harvest Brix 24.9º. Aged 16 months in French oak barrels, 39% new, 61% neutral. · Moderate garnet color in the glass. Aromas of dark red cherry and berry, cocoa powder, sandalwood and pipe tobacco. Striking essence of black cherry and boysenberry fruit, both bright and juicy, married to suede tannins. Impeccable balanced with an extended finish. This wine really came alive when tasted the following day from a previously opened bottle when I found it immensely satisfying in every way. Score: 95.
