2007 Flying Rooster Red Sonoma Coast 14.2% alc., $22. A blend of Pinot Noir (75%) and Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot. · Rich and plush with hardy fruit, a nice kiss of oak and some persistence on the finish. Not for Pinot Noir purists, but a great inexpensive summer barbecue wine. Reviewed July 9, 2009
