2005 Martin Alfaro Deer Park Vineyard Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir

14.5% alc., $33. 40% new oak for both Martin Alfaro wines. · A lot of Mt. Eden clone in this wine resulting in plenty of earthiness. There are appealing notes of cherries, cranberries and Xmas spice as well. The nose is quite funky with notable oak features. Reviewed September 10, 2007
