2010 Drew Weir Vineyard Yorkville Highlands Pinot Noir 14.5% alc., 98 cases, $42. 30% stem inclusion, native fermentation, aged 11 months in 25% new French oak. Unfined and unfiltered. · Moderately dark reddish-purple color in the glass. The shy nose unfolds slowly in the glass, revealing aromas of black cherries, black raspberry, briar and violets. The concentrated core of savory dark red and black fruits fill the mouth, caressed by well-matched tannins, underlain with bright acidity, and finishing with good cherry richness and length. Drink or hold. Score: 89. Reviewed September 5, 2013
