14.1% alc., pH 3.35, TA 0.76, 245 cases, $70. BGR. 50% Quail Hill Estate and 50% Suzanne’s Vineyard, old Wente clone. Aged 15 months in neutral French oak barrels. · Pale gold color and clear in the glass. Elevating aromas of lemon curd, pear, butter brickle and apple. A little reserved on the palate with flavors of yellow and green apple and lemon, backed by bracing acidity. A subtle herbal note brings up the finish. A tad bit tight and could benefit from more cellaring. Score: 92. Reviewed July 19, 2014
