14.4% alc., $70. SF. This vineyard is located in the Sebastopol Hills at the border of the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast. Clones 667 and 115. Aged 15 months in French oak barrels. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. Scents of black cherry, bark and spice lead to a full-bodied wine with a muscular backbone and more grip. The flavors of blackberry and purple stone fruits are earthy bent and there is a hint of sage. The oak sheen is noticeable. Score: 89. Reviewed July 19, 2014
