11.5% alc., 211 cases, $48. 10 acres south of Salem planted to Wädenswil and 777 clones. Harvested before the September rains. Whole cluster fermented 777 only. Unfined and unfiltered. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Aromas of black cherry, blueberry and sous-bois lead to a vivacious core of assorted dark red, blue and purple fruits accented with notes of smoky oak, dark chocolate and mulch. Plenty of sap to satisfy and a generous lip-smacking finish of welcome length. Score: 92. Reviewed December 12, 2015
