Native yeast fermentation, aged 18 months in French oak barrels, and bottled unfined. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. The engaging nose leads off with aromas of Bing cherry and Asian 5-spice. A comforting wine on the palate with a silky texture and wellspiced flavors of dark cherry and blueberry-pomegranate. Nicely composed, with integrated tannins and an ebullient finish. Score: 92. Reviewed March 12, 2016
