Unlabeled sample. · Dark reddish purple color in the glass. The nose only hints at dark fruit, offering primarily aromas of earthy flora and coffee-toned oak. Intensely flavored and quite sappy, featuring flavors of blackberry and black currant augmented with complimentary oak seasoning. Slightly velvety on the palate with a boisterous, black fruited finish. Score: 89. Reviewed March 12, 2016
