2004 Kistler Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 14.1% alc., 1,328 cases, $60. · Deep purple color. Lovely perfume of black cherries, lavender and damp oak. The flavors are driven by firm, dark fruits accentuated with Asian spice, and dark chocolate. Nicely weighted and oaked, complex and interesting. Appealing soft texture in the mouth, and lively acidity on the ending which is moderately long. Reviewed April 7, 2008
