2014 Kosta Browne One Sixteen Russian River Valley Chardonnay

14.5% alc., $58. · Moderate goldenyellow color and clear in the glass. Complex nose featuring scents of lemon, golden apple, banana, creme brulee, and steely resolve. Flavors of lemon, golden apple, pear, vanilla and caramel are true to its Russian River Valley heritage. Slightly viscous with good finishing energy. The wine was noticeably better the following day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. Score: 92. Reviewed June 19, 2016
