2012 WALT La Brisa Sonoma County Pinot Noir

14.9% alc., 2,594 cases, $40. Released March 2014. A blend from several select vineyards including Widdoes, Kozlowski, Martinelli, Gregori and Gap’s Crown. Native yeast fermentation, aged in 40% new French oak. Unfined and unfiltered. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Perfumed with black cherry, spice, oak and a subtle floral note. Modest in weight but flavorful with notes of black cherry, spice and anise-laced oak. The tannins and alcohol are integrated and the wine is easy to drink. Score: 88. 2012 DuMOL ryan Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

14.3% alc., $90. Sourced from Dutton-Widdoes Vineyard located in the Green Valley of Russian River Valley AVA. Unfiltered. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Very shy nose that never really comes around in the glass over time. More expressive on the palate and packed with dark red cherry and berry flavors wrapped in significant tannins and oak. 2011 WALT La Brisa Sonoma County Pinot Noir

14.8% alc., 1,051 cases, $40. La Brisa is Spanish for “The Breeze.” Sourced from multiple vineyards throughout the Russian River Valley including Widdoes, Martinelli, Gregori, and the Gap’s Crown in the Sonoma Coast. Native yeast fermentation, unfined and unfiltered. · Moderately dark reddish-purple color in the glass. Delicate aromas and flavors of Bing cherry, red berries and oak. Relatively light in weight but charming with soft tannins and some finishing length. A solid if not inspiring wine that displays plenty of oak imprint. Score: 88. 2010 DuMOL ryan Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

14.3% alc., 1,184 cases, $78. Released November 2012. Sourced from Widdoes Vineyard, Martini selection. Yield 2.65 tons per acre from 25-year-old vines. Aged 14 months in 45% new French oak barrels. Aged 14 months in 40% new French oak barrels. · Moderately dark reddish-purple color in the glass. Slow to open in the glass, but offers considerable appeal over time. Aromas of fresh blackberry tart, forest floor, rose petal, oak and saddle. Discreetly concentrated core of black raspberry and black plum fruit with a hint of spiced chocolate and vanilla wafer. 2009 DuMOL ryan Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

14.2% alc., 776 cases, $80. Sourced from the Dutton-Widdoes and Abbott vineyards located on the western edge of the Russian River Valley. · Moderate reddish-purple hue in the glass. Very ripe fruit profile emerges over time in the glass featuring dark red berries and cherries along with a forest floor tone. A fat, silken, sweet core of vivid dark red fruit makes an impression on the mid palate and persists on the fresh, crisp finish that displays a cut of citrus. Beautifully balanced with soft, sleek tannins. The wine pushes the ripeness envelope but never crosses over. 2007 Lost Canyon Widdoes Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

14.6% alc., <125 cases, $42. · A subdued but lovely nose featuring Bing cherry, red currant, raisin, Asian spice and gingerbread. Lip-smacking cherry and raspberry fruit, fully ripe, clean and juicy. 2006 Lost Canyon Widdoes Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

14.8% alc., <350 cases, $42. The first year for this vineyard bottling. · Very demonstrable black cherry and candy cane aromas followed by showy and intense black cherry and blackberry fruit shot through with notes of wet oak and spice. 2005 Capiaux Cellars Widdoes Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., $37. · Slightly porto aromas overshadow pleasing scents of berry jam, spiced plum and fresh-baked cookies. Overripe flavors of currents, raisins and cola with prominent toasted oak.
