First release of this wine comprised of 25% Ritchie Vineyard Martini clone (35 years old), 37.5% Cameron Vineyard Martini clone (30+ years old) and River South Vineyard Swan clone (3 years old). Retailers have avoided this wine because of its name which they consider lacks seriousness but this is a serious wine. It is very popular in the winery tasting room. · Medium reddishpurple color in the glass. Very aromatic featuring hi-tone scents of Bing cherries, baking spice and a hint of vanilla. Moderately light in weight but flavorful offering nicely composed notes of juicy dark cherries and berries with a subtle riff of oakdriven roasted nuts and vanilla, and a finishing thrust of lush cherry reduction sauce. 2007 J. Lynne Russian River Valley Sonoma County Pinot Noir 14.5% alc., 973 cases, $25. · Vivid perfume of cherries, strawberries and Asian spices. Refined and compelling flavors of fresh picked cherries, raspberries and strawberries with a hint of cola. Moderately light in weight with suave tannins, lively acidity and admirable elegance. 2005 J. Lynne Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 13.5% alc., 415 cases, $25. The grapes from the Cameron Ranch were picked at 25.9° degrees Brix on October 8, 2005. The fruit was presorted, de-stemmed and cold soaked for 3 days. The wine was aged for 6 months in a combination of 1, 2 and 3 year-old French oak barrels mostly from the Vosges forest. · This wine is seamless from start to finish. Aromas of oak-spiced crushed cherries lead to flavors of demure red Pinot fruits perfectly spiced. The texture is velvety.
