Naked Winery

The Barringer and Michalec families are partners in the Naked Winery & orgasmic wine company. Naked Winery produces both Washington and Oregon wines at a winery located in Wishram, Washington, and a second winery in Hood River, Oregon.

Founders David and Jody Barringer and Dave Mihalec are former electrical engineers who tired of their Silicon Valley tech careers. They chose risqué branding labels: Naked, Oh! Orgasmic and Outdoor Vino which are aimed at three distinct market groups. Initially, they focused on winemaking, but now devote their time to sales and marketing. The winemaker is Peter Steinfeld.

Two Pinot Noirs are produced: Naked Winery Oregon Pinot Noir ($25) and Naked Winery Dominatrix Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. The wines are sold on the website and can be tasted at branded tasting rooms in Hood River, Bend and McMinnville. Surprisingly, there are two tasting rooms in South Dakota as well.
