The Jacuzzi Brothers are known for their manufacturing company in Berkeley, California where they produced water well pumps and eventually, the bath and spa that bears their name. Fred Cline, owner of Jacuzzi Family Vineyards and grandson of Valeriano Jacuzzi, bought 350 acres along Highway 121 in Sonoma in 1989.
Jacuzzi Family Vineyards owns and farms grapes at its estate in Sonoma Carneros and the Sonoma Coast appellation. Wines have been produced since 1994.
The winemaker is Charlie Tsegeletos is a graduate of University of California Davis who launched his winemaking career at Pendleton Winery. He joined Glen Ellen Winery in 1987 where he perfected his blending skills. He joined Jacuzzi in 2002.
The winery's Pinot Noir comes from estate vineyards in the Petaluma Gap of the Sonoma Coast (72%) and estate vineyards in Sonoma Carneros (28%). The winery's emphasis is on Italian varietals. The wine is sold on the website.
The winery is housed in an 18,000 square foot building modeled after the Jacuzzi family home in Udine, Italy. The tasting room here is open daily. Tours by appointment (707-931-7576). Jacuzzi is also home to The Olive Press, a well known producer of extra virgin olive oil located inside the winery.
