John Ross Storey was a founding partner and co-winemaker of Eric Ross Winery since its founding in 1994. Upon retirement from the San Francisco Chronicle in 2005, he started the j.r. storey winery. Several varietal wines are produced including a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from Saralee's Vineyard.

The wines are sold on the website and through a mailing list.
