The Trione family has a history of winemaking and winegrowing in Sonoma County for three generations. Local legacy Henry Trione started the fmily business more than 40 years ago. Multiple members of the Trione family now are involved in the winery.
The family farms 650 acres of vineyards in both Alexander Valley and Russian River Valley. In 2005, the Trione family decided to venture back into winemaking. Winemaker, Scot Covington (Sonoma-Cutrer, Marimar Torres Estate, Pellegrini Family Winery) works with vineyard manager of over thirty years, John Tankersley, to produce the wines from a select 2 to 3 percent of the estate fruit.
A new winemaking facility was built in Geyserville that sits adjacent the historic Nervo Winery stone building that was built to withstand earthquakes and dates to 1908. It was the first winery built in California with a concrete floor and boasts one of California's oldest winery tasting rooms. Winemaker Scot Covington designed the new winemaking facility.
Multiple varietals are produced including Pinot Noir from the estate vineyard in the Russian River Valley named River Road Ranch.
The wines are available online. The tasting room is open Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 to 5:00. Picnic facilities are available. Private tours and tastings by appointment - 707-814-8100.
