Patton Valley Vineyard was founded by Monte Pitt and Dave Chen in 1995 in the northern reaches of the Willamette Valley in Gaston, Oregon. The estate vineyard comprises 24 acres of densely planted vines which are farmed using only sustainable practices.
Current production is 3,500 cases annually. For 2007, there is a 10-acre Pinot Noir, a West Block Pinot Noir, a Patton Valley Vineyard Pinot Noir, and a Patton Valley Lorna Marie Pinot Noir. A Lorna-Marie Reserve is produced in great vintages and a Rosé rounds out the lineup. Prices range from $16 to $70 and all but the Lorna-Marie are bottled with screw caps.

Moderately
dark reddish purple hue in the glass. This wine offers a riper fruit profile with aromas and flavors of
boysenberry, blackberry and cassis. Mid weight plus in style with modest, integrated tannins, and a
complimentary note of sweet oak. Well-endowed, but streamlined, with enough acidity to keep the wine
vibrant, finishing with a plethora of dark fruited goodness.

2010 Patton Valley Vineyard Estate Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Aged 10 months in 32% new oak.

Light reddish color in the glass. Strong aroma of oak-derived mocha java
and espresso on the nose obscuring any fruit notes. Coffee-laced oak and cherry flavors with balanced
tannins and a short finish. Pleasant, but too much oak singing bass in this wine. Decent.

2008 Patton Valley Vineyard Lorna-Marie Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
13.5% alc.. An estate grown,
reserve bottling.

Moderate reddish purple hue in the glass. Aromas of black cherry, dusty oak and mesquite.
Soft and silky on the palate with juicy flavors of cherry, raspberry and pomegranate. Modest in weight with
supple tannins and some finishing burst of fruit. Enjoyable now but could hold short to mid term.
Score: 90.
