Since 2006, one Pinot Noir is produced from the Tatum's Folly Vineyard in north Santa Barbara County on the Central Coast of California. Yield is limited to six pounds per vine to achieve even ripening, natural yeast fermentation, and only one racking.
The brand name comes from a bridge on the Central Coast at the entrance to the Margarita Vineyard, where the first two vineyard-designated wines were produced. The owner and winemaker is Vance Rose, who has spent over 29 years in the wine business.
The Pinot Noir is very sensibly priced at about $20 and is available online.
