Kenny Likitprakong started the Hobo label in 2002. The name comes from the fact that he doesn't own a winery or vineyards. It also reflects his rambling ways growing up. The first grapes were crushed at Hallcrest Vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains (Zinfandel and Port). The focus subsequently has been on wines from Sonoma County. Pinot Noir has been released from the Central Coast and Aptos Creek Vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Labels include Banyan Wines and Folk Machine.
A limited selection of Hobo wines can be tasted at Downtown Wine off the Healdsburg Plaza at 132 Plaza Street in Healdsburg, CA. Tasting is also available by appointment (707-887-0833). The wines are sold through the winery's online store.
