Winemaker Cecilia Valdiva-Peritore and Sonoma County businessman Mark Adams partnered to found Dionysus Winery, a boutique winery releasing their inaugural Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with the 2008 vintage. The winery is named after Dionysus, the God of Wine and patron deity of agriculture and theater.
Valdivia-Peritore is a native of Argentia, obtaining a degree in Agricultural Engineering and Oenology in Mendoza. After gaining experience at wineries in Mendoza, she moved to California, working at St. Francis and later Pellegrini Winery. In 2008, she joined Deerfield Ranch Winery as associate winemaker.
