Winemaker Michael Lundeen has two labels. Genius Loci is Latin for "spirit of the place," and is devoted to vineyard designated wines, primarily Pinot Noir. Lundeen Wines consists of value-priced Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The inaugural vintage was 2006 which he made while working at Belle Pente Vineyard and Winery. In 2007, he helped launch the winery at Illahe Vineyards, where he made subsequent vintages of his wine. He is currently in charge of winemaking at Walnut City Wineworks, where he continues to make his own wines.
Lundeen has worked on winemaking teams at Willakenzie, Domaine Serene, Belle Pente, in addition to Illahe and Walnut City Wineworks. He also crafted wine with Mario Andrion at Castello di Verduno in Italy.
Most fruit is sourced from Lundeen's family's homestead site, Poverty Bend Vineyard, located just outside McMinnville. He also works with fruit from Illahe Vineyard and Ana Vineyard.
Production is a few hundred cases. The wines are sold through a mailing list.
