Whistling Ridge Vineyards is located on two sites near Newberg, Oregon in the Ribbon Ridge AVA. Chardonnay clone 108 was planted in 1989 and Wädenswil and Pommard clones of Pinot Noir were planted the following year. The original 1989 Chardonnay was replanted to Dijon 667, 777 and 115. The original site has been expanded and in 2000 the north site was planted. There are now 15 acres of vines including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Riesling with tiny amounts of Muscat, Schonburger, Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer.

The first harvest was 1992. Grapes have been sold to Belle Pente, Ponzi Vineyards, Ken Wright Cellars, Patricia Green Cellars, Matello Wines and Natalie's Estate Winery.

The first and second generations of the family operate the vineyards, the winery and the tasting room located at Whistling Ridge North. Peter Rosback was the winemaker from 2002 to 2005 and the current winemaker is Marcus Goodfellow. Current production of the Whistling Ridge Vineyards label is under 1000 cases.
