The Irvines are developers and builders who own 80 acres in a hidden valley outside Ashland, Oregon. Greg Jones was brought in to assess the terroir and found potential for cooler climate grapes including Pinot Noir on one side of the narrow valley. They started with 6 acres including Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Nebbiolo, Chardonnay and Viognier. The first Pinot Noir (90 cases) was released with the 2009 vintage. Projected production is 2,000 cases annually, primarily Pinot Noir.
The wines are distributed locally in Oregon.
