William Moses crafts his wines from purchased Central Coast fruit in a century-old subterranean stone water cistern , an original feature of his National Historic Landmark Casa Barranca Estate in Ojai, California. The estate was designed in 1909 by noted leaders of the arts and crafts movement, the Greene Brothers. Moses insists on organic farming of his grapes and his winery is the first to be certified organic on the Central Coast. His wines have either low levels of sulfites ("made with organic grapes") or no sulfites added ("organic wine").

Multiple varietals are produced. The Casa Barranca Pinot Noirs from La Encantada Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills and Laetitia Vineyards in Arroyo Grande have shown restraint, elegance and charm. The wines are reasonably priced and sold through the website. A tasting room is located in Ojai at 208 E. Ojai Ave., and is open Thursday-Sunday. The Casa Barranca Estate is available for private events, tours and vacation rental (805-640-1255).
