Santa Rosa Junior College's Shone Farm Winery was founded in 2008 and is located in the Warren G. Dutton Jr. Agricultural Pavilion. The majority of wines produced are from estate grown grapes of Shone Farm. Shone Farm has 70 acres of grapes that are sold to several Sonoma County premium wineries. All wines must pass a rigorous review by a professional tasting panel before being released for sale.
The winemaker is Chris Wills, formerly of Korbel and Lake Sonoma Winery, who is also a faculty member of the SRJC Wine Studies Program. Students in the Program are involved in all aspects of production of Shone Farm wines.
Tasting is available at Wineyard Tasting Room, 1305 Cleveland Ave in Santa Rosa. Wines are produced in very small lots (25 to 75 cases) and include a Pinot Noir.
