In 1934, winemaker John Gemello began producing hearty red wines from grapes grown in the coastal hills above Santa Clara Valley, California. In the late 1970s, the winery he founded was relocated to Half Moon Bay, California and renamed Obester. Hearty red wines continued to be produced under the Gemello label and other wines under the Obester label. In the new millenium, vintner Kendyl Kellogg has returned the winery to its roots, producing full-bodied red wines under the Nebbia Signature label.
Multiple varietals are offered from sourced grapes including a Pinot Noir from Clarksburg in the 2007 vintage.
The La Nebbia tasting room is open daily from 10:00 to 5:00. Picnic tables and bocce ball courts are available.
