These wines are produced by Les Vignerons du Val d'Orbieu, an association of winegrowers in the Languedoc-Roussillon established in 1967 by a group of winemakers. Reserve St. Martin is the flagship varietal brand of the Val d'Orbieu and was among the first French brands to varietally label by grape rather than appellation. The practice has propelled the brand from being relatively unknown in 1985 to prominence today. The large chain, Total Wine, carries the brand.
