Vintner Kimberly Smith was mentored by Clos Pepe's Wes Hagen and launched her own label with the 2011 vintage. LaMontagne means "the Mountain," describing her quest to produce wines of exceptional quality.

Production is very limited and sold through a mailing list. Vineyard designate Pinot Noirs were produced from Huber and Sierra Madre vineyards in 2011. Kessler-Haak Vineyard was added in 2012.

A tasting room is open in the Lompoc Wine Ghetto Friday-Sunday or by appointment.
