John Ramsey sold his successful communications test equipment business to pursue winemaking in the Napa Valley. Long time friend Nils Venge suggested he recruit his son, Kirk, to work with him. Kirk is the consulting winemaker and the wines are custom crushed at the Venge Rossini Ranch Winery.

Total annual production or red varietals is less than 800 cases. A Secret Vineyard Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir was released from the 2011 vintage and favorably reviewed by wine critics.
