A winery, tasting room and event center featuring a 20,000-square-foot winemaking facility in San Francisco. The winery produces a large number of boutique wines including Pinot Noir from sourced grapes.

The winemaker is Bryan Kane who produced award winning wines at Vie and Sol Rouge and was recognized as one of the "Next Generation of Cult Winemakers" by Sommelier Magazine.

The winery's tasting room is open daily.

2017 The Winery SF North Coast Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., $30. · ak-spiced aromas of black cherry and ripe strawberry lead to an elegantly composed mid-weight, black cherry-driven wine. 2016 The Winery SF North Coast Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., 300 cases, $29.99. Winemaker Bryan Kane. · Moderate garnet color in the glass. Shy aromas of dark red fruits and nutty oak. Discretely concentrated black cherry and blueberry flavors with moderately firm tannins, a hint of oak and a sweet-fruited finish. The oak rises up over time and quite noticeable when the wine was tasted the following day from a previously opened and recorked bottle. Score: 88. Reviewed February 3, 2019 ARTICLE »

2016 The Winery SF Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

14.2% alc., 100 cases, $40. · Moderate garnet color in the glass. Aromas of earth-kissed black cherry and walnut lead to a mid weight plus styled wine driven by black cherry and blackberry fruit flavors. The fruit is well-ripened but not overripe. Creamy in texture, with a sweet-fruited finish of good generosity and length. Even more appealing when tasted the following day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. Score: 89. 2015 The Winery North Coast Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., 300 cases, $29.99. Grapes sourced from Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake counties. · Moderately dark garnet color in the glass. Strange nose profile featuring aromas of potpourri, baking spices, clay, greenery, smoke, cigar and toast. Mid weight core of purple fruits have a woody, floral accent. 2015 The Winery Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., 100 cases, $40. · Moderately dark garnet color in the glass. Aromas of blackberry preserves, nutty and charred oak and vegetation. Mid weight plus array of purple berry fruit flavors framed by integrated tannins and tart acidity. Very similar to the North Coast bottling but with more mid palate presence and finishing length, but with the same sweet and sour ending. Score: 87. Reviewed April 14, 2018 ARTICLE »

2013 The Winery SF North Coast Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., 1,700 cases, $29.99. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. The nose offers scents of blueberry, blackberry, plum and leaf. The discreetly concentrated black raspberry and blackberry fruits are overlaid with noticeable oak and backed by weighty tannins which surface on the finish. 2013 The Winery SF Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., 200 cases, $40. Sourced from a vineyard near the border of Los Carneros. clones 115, 667 and 777. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. Very shy berry mix on the nose which fails to open much even when tasted the following day. Tasty mid weight flavors of black cherry, black raspberry and cedary oak with a riff of savory herbs in the background. Nicely composed with balanced tannins and some finishing intensity. Score: 88. 2012 The Winery SF North Coast Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., $30. From a San Francisco urban winery located on San Francisco’s historic Treasure island. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Bright aromas of cherry, strawberry, rose petal and briar initially, fading somewhat over time in the glass. A cherry jubilee with hints of black raspberry, spice, and savory herbs. The texture is satiny, the wine is open and giving, the tannins are soft, and the clinging finish satisfies. Score: 89. Reviewed August 15, 2014 ARTICLE »
