Challen Winery

This boutique Santa Barbara County winery produces very small lots of premium single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay founded by actress (Nickelodeon show "Big Time Rush") and wine lover Challen Cates. The first vintage was 2012.

Grapes are sourced from notable vineyards including Dierberg in Santa Maria Valley, and Zotovich, Bentrock, Radian and Lindsay's in Sta. Rita Hills.

The winemaker is Kevin Law and the consulting winemaker is Bill Cates. Bill was one of the founders and winemakers at Tantara Winery back in 1997 and Kevin was at Tantara for several vintages.

Production is about 500 cases annually . The wines are distributed to select restaurants throughout the U.S., and may be obtained through the website store.
