Campovida

This is a family owned and operated certified organic farm and working vineyard in Hopland, Mendocino County. The place called Campovida has been home to Pomo Indians, a cattle rancher, a railroad and timber baron, a hop broker, a lumbar executive and host of winemakers.

In 1958, Bernard Fetzer bought a home on the property from John's son Frederick in order to raise his family and grow wine grapes. Ten years later, the Fetzers began growing grapes commercially. In 1981, after the death of the family patriarch, the 11 Fetzer children managed the vineyard and built the company into a leading varietal wine producer. They eventually created a world-renowned food and wine education center known as Valley Oaks.

In 1992, the Brown-Forman Corporation bought the certified organic vineyard. In 2010, Anna and Gary..... became the stewards of the land and restored the former Fetzer Valley Oaks winery, gardens and Food & Wine Center.

The property has a 6-room inn, a 3-bedroom farmhouse and a 1-bedroom secluded guest cottage which are offered on a private event basis, such as weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats, and other special occasions.

There are 13 acres of organic gardens and fruit trees with certified organic produce available to the public through CSA and a farm stand.

Limited production wines are offered as well including a Grenache and a Pinot Noir from Oppenlander Vineyard. The winemaker is Sebastian Donoso
