This winery is a partnership between Craig Strehlow, the former winegrower and winemaker at Keefer Ranch and Keefer Ranch Wines, and Alan Campbell, a Sonoma County native and local photographer who has tried his hand at farming, winegrowing and winemaking. Strehlow managed the Keefer Ranch property for 13 years and crafted a single vineyard Pinot Noir from the Ranch.
Campbell owns a 4-acre vineyard in Graton named Magna Porcum (after his affinity for all things pork). The vineyard is planted to the Dehlinger selection of the Swan clone, Calera clone, Pommard 4, and a DRC suitcase selection. Fruit from the Magna Porcum Vineyard will be included in future bottlings and a single vineyard Magna Porcum Pinot Noir debuted in 2015 from the 2013 vintage.
The inaugural release was a 2012 Camlow Green Valley of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir sourced from Keefer Ranch which gives the owners control over farming of the estate fruit.The 2013 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir was sourced from Graham Family Vineyard.

Family Vineyard. Aged 18 months in 100% French oak barrels, 40% new.

Moderately light cherry red color in
the glass. A hint of reduction upon opening resolves quickly, revealing aromas of black cherry, boysenberry
dried herbs and spice with a waft of toasty oak. Light to mid weight flavors of black cherry and raspberry with a
hint of red hots in an elegantly styled wine with balanced dry tannins and juicy acidity.

2013 Magna Porcum Estate Grown Green Valley of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
14.4% alc., pH 3.58,
TA 0.55, $45. Released February 10, 2015. Vineyard planted in 2007 in Goldridge sandy loam in the heart of
the Green Valley. Clones are Swan, Pommard, DRC and Calera. Aged 15 months in a variety of new, once and
twice-filled French oak barrels.

Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. Very shy nose, offering hints
of dark berry jam and oak. Linear mid weight plus flavors of blackberry and black cherry with a modicum of oak
seasoning. Rather blunt and dull, with balanced sandy tannins and a lack of zing. When tasted the next day
from a previously opened and re-corked bottle, the wine still lacked aromatic interest and the palate experience
was unchanged. I should revisit this wine in another year, although it has been in bottle for almost a year.
