Monument Mountain Vineyards

Carol Hoopes bonded her winery in 2011, and released her first wines from that vintage. She graduated from University of California at Davis in 1981 and returned in 2007 to earn her winemaking credentials.

A Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley and two Pinot Noirs from Anderson Valley are offered. Also, Hoopes has 3 vineyards in Humboldt County (8,000 vines), from which she crafts Pinot Noir.

Carol's main joy is crafting Pinot Noir, and she planted a Pinot Noir vineyard in 2008 on what used to be her great-grandfather's hay field and future site of Monument Mountain Vineyards. At an elevation of 1,100 feet, the coastal mountains are home to morning fog and sunny afternoons.

The wines are sold direct to the public with tours and tastings available by appointment.
