Ramspeck

Gerry and Linda Rowland started to make and market wine in 1991, inspired by ancestors who had made wine with their family crest on the label as early as 1537. It was with pride that the Rowlands revived the Ramspeck label and Rowland Cellars in 1996.

Gerry Rowland worked at Chappellet while making his own wine under the Ramspeck label in 1991. In 1997 he left Chappellet to devote himself full time to Rowland Cellars. He also began consulting for William Hill Winery in Central Otago.

Current production is 12,000 cases annually. The Ramspeck Pinot Noir is sourced from Napa Valley (2,150 cases in 2012). A Pinot Noir under the Cenay label is sourced from Rodgers Vineyard in the Napa Valley.
