Abiqua Wind Vineyard

This winery is located along the Cascade foothills of Scotts Mills, Oregon, Abiqua Wind Vineyard was established in 1978 and 3 acres were added to the existing 8 acres in 1984. Wines under the Abiqua Wind label were first released with the 2003 vintage. The winery was bonded in 2010 by converting a portion of the existing building on the property into a small winery facility. All plants are ungrafted and growing on their own roots as well as dry farmed. The own-rooted Pinot Gris vines, planted to over half of the vineyard, were obtained from David Lett.

Like a number of Oregon wineries, this one is owned by a husband and wife. All wines are filled, corked, capped, boxed and sold by the owners, Pete and Marcia Buffington.

Isaac's Reserve Pinot Noirs were available from the 2010 to 2014 vintages ($35-$45) on the website in 2016.
