Dauntless Wine Company

Marine Corps veterans Ben Martin, Ryan Mills and Paul Warmbier created Dauntless Wine Company in 2014 to assist their brothers and sisters transition from military life to civilian life. The plan to hire an all-veteran staff in the vineyard and winery and donate time and profits to veterans organizations.

Initially, Dauntless crafts wines at the ADEA winemaker studio in Gaston. The No Man's Land Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir label depicts the wasteland that claimed many of the 20 million lives lost during World War I. Howitzer Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is a homage to the artillery piece that dates to the 1420s and is aged in American oak. There is also a Reserve Pinot Noir and a Trenton Willamette Valley Pinot Gris.

In 2015, case production was only 300 cases but will increase to about 900 cases in 2016. Ultimately, they want to own a vineyard.

The Oregon wine industry has been very supportive.
