The owners can trace their roots to St. Angelo Cancelli, a mountain town outside of Napoli, Italy, where family legend has it that our ancestors were honored artisans who created ornate works of silver for the noble families of Italy's Campania region. The silver in the wine label pays tribute to this heritage. This winery was started in 1997 by twin brothers, Ricci and Ray D’Argenzio. Building on their family heritage of winemaking, they have crafted small lots of Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley since their first release in 2000.
Annual production is 2,500 cases including various Italian varietals in addition to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The winery's wines can be tasted at the winery located in Santa Rosa Vintners Square (1301-1305 Cleveland Ave in Santa Rosa), an urban winery village offering the wines of multiple Sonoma County wineries. A full food menu including wood-fired pizzas is offered.

This Pinot has a bright nose of red fruits.
Richly oaked red fruits carry through to a lingering finish with moderate
fine tannins. A full-flavored style with generous oak features.

Hi-tone Bing cherries star in the nose with a hint of violets. The flavors are a cherries jubilee with enticing
cola and spice notes. There are some darker stone fruits peeking out here as well. The finish is dry
and satisfying. I picked this out as a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir before the unveiling. A Gold Medal
winner at the 2006 Sonoma County Harvest Fair.
