The Chenoweth family has lived in Sebastopol for more than a century. They have farmed everything from wine grapes (prior to Prohibition) to apples, prunes and cherries, and now wine grapes again. Charlie Chenoweth is known as one of the North Coast renowned vineyard managers.
The Chenoweth label is a collaboration between Charlie and Amy Chenoweth and specializes in Pinot Noir. The wines are produced from three premium vineyards in the Green Valley of Russian River Valley AVA carefully farmed and harvested by Chenoweth Vineyards: Home Ranch, Bootleggers Hill and Treehouse.
Home Ranch is 8 acres planted in 2000 to 667, 777, 115, "828," and 23 clones of Pinot Noir in Goldridge soil. Bootleggers Hill was formed as a partnership with Charlie Chenoweth, Michael Browne and Ted Elliott. 30 acres planted in 2009 to 115, 6676, Pommard, 37, Calera and Elite clones of Pinot Noir, as well as Chardonnay. Treehouse consists of 13.5 acres of Pinot Noir planted in 2006 to 23, Swan, 37, Pommard and Calera clones. This vineyard is the flagship for the Cirz project of Michael Browne. The vineyard sits atop a red, iron-rich mountain top at 750 feet.

carefully farmed vineyards (Chenoweth Ranch, Treehouse
and Bootleggers) managed by Chenoweth Vineyards. The

Aged 16 months in French oak barrels, 30% new.

Moderate garnet
color in the glass. Energetic perfume of black cherry, raspberry and
sous bois. A deeply flavored cherry core is framed by gracious tannins, spirited acidity and a welcome oak
compliment. The wine is exquisitely balanced with a lingering finish that has good snap that demands another
sip. Fresh as a mature barrel sample and everything you can ask for in a Pinot Noir.
