Wines are produced as class projects by students at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria. The college campus vineyard consists of four acres west of campus, and there are additional vineyards in Los Alamos in the Santa Ynez Valley.

The 2014 Santa Barbara County Captain's Reserve Pinot Noir is only $18. The wine is sold at the Allan Hancock College Winery located at the Santa Maria Campus in building O 211.

Several varieties in addition to Pinot Noir are offered for sale.
