Alara Cellars

Bay Area native Janu Goelz played a leading role in two commercial films, worked in the corporate world a few years and then launched a clothing line, partnering with fashion designer Malene Grotrian. Janu met her husband, Jason Goelz, a vintner and winery owner in 2012. She developed an enthusiasm for wine and completed various wine educational programs. She did hands-on winemaking work at Jason-Stephens Winery and became an up an coming winemaker.

Fashion designer and illustrator Malene Grotian is the artist behind the water-colored fashion illustrations on Alara Cellars' wine labels.

The winery offers multiple varietals including Pinot Noir from San Benito in the Central Coast.
