This winery was founded by three brothers: Douglas Phillips, Thomas Phillips, and Grant Phillips. Their home, organic farm, and estate vineyards are located in the Dundee Hills of the Willamette Valley, where they grow Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Gamay Noir.

The estate vineyard, planted in 2000, is tucked amongst fir trees. Soils are deep Jory volcanic.
