This is said to be one of the greatest producers in Burgundy and also one of the most expensive. The owner, Lalou Bize, was part owner of Domaine de la Romanee Conti until 1993. In 1988, she acquired the Charles Noellat domaine in Vosne-Romanee, In 1989, she purchased Domaine Remy in Gevrey-Chambertain. She now has impressive holdings throughout Burgundy. She also produces wines under her second estate, Domaine d'Auvenay and and has large stocks of older wines bottled under her negocient label, Maison Leroy. I have almost no personal experience with her wines, but the few that others purchased and shared with me were superb

The long cork was
wet with black mold on the top. Funky nose with baby diaper and toast. Rich in texture, darker fruits predominate
with a woodsy and earthy edge. Tannins are well integrated.
