2017 Benovia Cohn Vineyard Sonoma County Pinot Noir

14.1% alc.. · Moderately dark garnet color in the glass. The wine opens slowly to reveal aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, vanillin and herbal underbrush. Middleweight in style, with flavors of boysenberry and black cherry with a savory herbaceous thread. Modest tannins and finish. Fine, but doesn’t excite. Unchanged when tasted the following day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. Score: 89. Reviewed June 4, 2019
