1995 Te Kairanga New Zealand Pinot Noir

13.0% alc., $17. Aged 15 months in French oak barrels. Perfectly cellared by me since release. · The wine has an orange tinge to the rim in the glass. The nose reveals orange peel, forest floor and demure sherry aromas. Very light in fruit flavors with notes of sandalwood and oak. The fruit has faded, but tannins persist on the finish. Nothing to get excited about, but still very drinkable. Reviewed April 16, 2006
