2009 CAW Yamhill-Carlton District Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

14.9% alc., $36. · Medium reddish-purple color in the glass. This wine reflects the relatively warm 2009 vintage in the Willamette Valley. Aromas of black cherries, tomato and beet. Flavors of black plum, black cherry and raisin. Plenty of concentration with balanced tannins, but lacks the verve that Oregon Pinot Noir is known for. Too ripe for my taste. Decent.
