2011 Comptche Ridge Vineyards Mendocino County Pinot Noir

13.2% alc., $47. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. Very shy fruit on the nose with forward aromas of loam, peat and oak. Light and even a bit dilute, with flavors of earth-kissed red cherry and raspberry. Forward with supple tannins and easy drink ability, but not exciting. Score: 87. Reviewed July 19, 2014
