Waves of blackberry and cassis fruit attack the palate with knock your socks off, Syrah like boldness. How do you get this much fruit concentrate from Pinot Noir? Although a flamboyant mother, it still has soft balancing tannins and a velvety mouth feel. When tasted the following day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle, the wine had retained its intensity and velvety texture. Michael Browne likes rock n’ roll, and this one rocks. Score: 92.
